Doing any in-house electro repairs requires not so much skills but needs attention and following some basic energoproekt rules.
It is important to be aware of your local regulations regarding electrical activities.
In many towns, there are limitations on the work an unlicensed person may do… even the owner of the home. There are also distinctions made between what an unlicensed homeowner can do and what an unqualified tradesman can do.
There are also distinctions made within types of electrical work. Appliance setting-up, for example, is always not considered disallowed electrical work if the conventional wiring and connection was made by a certified master.
Local codes composed because of and are often based on local concerns. Densely crowded territories, such as large cities, stuck to have electrical codes much limiting homeowner electrical interventions because errors can put in danger hundreds or thousands of citizens! Community regulations are often less stringent, making allowing more owner flexibility and involvement in the process. Local environmental situation such as the chance of earthquakes, heavy T-storms or hurricanes, the level of the water tides, amount of rainfall and general humidity, soil structure, and the types of building materials used|available also affect the local electrical code.
Of all the works that you may do around your house, the most potentially hazardous mistakes are in faulty electrical wiring! Countless house fires are initiated by poor wiring techniques, substitutive materials, cheap extension cords, or defective electrical appliances. The trouble and the trap lies in the apparent easiness of electrical work. Small mistakes can cause quick and severe consequences. Poor electro-wiring skills can cause shock hazards that could not be evident until the accident happens.
Quality|Best electrical activities|works depends on consistency and reliability. That is why there is an electrical code, so everybody is clear on the correct and wrong path to perform an electrical repair and tuning. If every household was wired under a random standard, how could anyone without paranormal abilities figure out how to troubleshoot a circuit?
We are not trying to prevent you from learning and increasing your abilities. We wouldn’t have little chance of doing it, anycase. But you should know by now that we are a strong advocate of independence and self-reliance. But if one person burnt his home down because he was thinking that he could do that electrical job, and was not sufficiently knowledgeable to do the job|task right… well, that is not what we had in mind when started this energoproject. We have seen some electrical wiring disasters throughout Russia, and major share|most were undertaken by homeowners who thought that performing electrical wiring|work was no more deserving of care than sweeping the backyard!
